Vintage ashtray from the iconic Harry's Bar which is a landmark in in Venice Italy. This is an early version 1940's of this famous and now highly collectible ashtray.
It is in good condition. It has 3 chips, all shown in pictures. Also has light crazing throughout. Most are not noticeable to the naked eye. The colours are bright and it shows real nice.
Measures 6" long x 4" wide x 1.25" deep
Harry's Bar was opened in 1931 by Giuseppe Cipriani and a young American, Harry Pickering. Harry's Bar quickly became a gathering place for an amazing list of famous people: Ernest Hemingway, Gary Cooper, Arturo Toscanini, Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart, Truman Capote, Orson Welles, Joe DiMaggio, Aristotle Onassis, Peggy Guggenheim, Katherine Hepburn and many more.
